Bonsoir!!
I have to admit that i am not a diligent blogger!!I am always amazed whenever i visit my page..i dont know why. I guess its the fact that i DO have a blogspot!! i seem to always forget this. hmmh. Ok, anyway, let me update you with the happenings in my life. Since October last year (i.e. when i turned 30, yikess!!) i pretty much spent my time studying. My result from the 1st semester was ok...I got 1 A+, 2 As 1 B+ and 1 C. Im grateful!!but, dammit, i wish it was a straight As result! ahaha!
I am in my 2nd semester now. The modules I am taking is ICT, Corporate Communication, Business Statistics, MIB and French. Yes, I am still taking french..somehow, it is the only subject that i am very interested on!! I tend to hate it when the class ends!! As for the other modules, I think this time they are harder. I really, seriously, do not know what to expect for the exams. And, maybe its just me, but I just dont see why we need to learn ICT. I mean, I thought we'd be learning something like, words, data processing, excel and all that. But instead, we are learning all the technical terms!!I hv been working for 6-7 yrs, and I have never been bothered by how many gigs, or how many kilobytes, or if the printer is dot matrix, or even the components inside the computer!! why do we need to know what a bus is? If ever we have a problem on this, I can just google about it!! I dont know..I just seriously do not think that this module is suitable for us. I was expecting something businesslike!! for example, how to use the powerpoint (of course, i already know how to use this!). urgh..ITS JUST TOO TECHNICAL!! I dont want to be a computer engineer!!i just want to be able to apply what i learn!!we have the IT department to worry about this things. URGH, again!!
As for the Corporate Communication module, some topics are relevant. I dont mean to sound nasty, but my post is the Assistant Manager of the Corporate Communication Department for 5 years in the organisation that I work with, and let me tell you one thing, it is about being the eye, the ear, the mouth and also the image of an organisation. To protect and enhance professional relationships with other organisations! Perhaps they should review the topics under this module. For example, in building relationships, in creating press releases and press conference, in promoting the organisation (corporate social responsibility), in organising events and campaigns, and all sorts of things!! I love my job and so far, i dont see that what they are teaching us under this topic is anything new.
Business Statistics, I have no further comment except that its too hard and challenging (its supposed to be this way, i know! and i am not whining!)
U know what, actually i have 5 assignments that i need to submit very soon. FIVE!!! Its too much!! And i thought that 1st semester was torturous..i was SO wrong!!
I am going to bed now. I am sleepy. good nite.
Bonne nuit. Au revoir!!
